    Learn contractor marketing: whether you’re a marketing manager at a contracting company, or the company owner looking to update your website, increase leads through online marketing, or just get education on marketing strategies for contractors, this course is for you. Software and technology are all the buzz but is your company or are you ready for web-based software?  This course taught by Heidi J. Ellsworth, delivers information about how new or updated software needs to match with your culture, processes and company goals.  Throughout the span of four separate live courses (recorded and published in this course) Heidi will cover software for contractors, website considerations, mail marketing, social media, and CRM / sales and leads tracking software.

    You’ll learn about websites and how to approach either getting a new website or updating your current site.  The course will also review current web-based software and the importance of forms, blogs and marketing automation.  Ellsworth will also review the complimentary services including directories and SEO that are critical to website marketing success.  With 24 years of roofing sales, marketing and technology experience, she will review industry resources and overall strategy for obtaining and then implementing a strong website that enhances roofing or contracting sales and marketing.  Then, in the field of email marketing, Heidi will discuss the laws, myths and realities of email marketing will be reviewed.  Spam laws and email marketing companies are both important topics of discussion when deciding whether to start an email marketing campaign.  Ellsworth will review picking a service and whether the function should remain in-house or be moved out-of-house.  The issues of design, tracking and lead capture will be discussed along with the overall strategy of marketing automation.  

    Finally, when it comes to social media, should you tweet or post on instagram?  Is LinkedIn worth using, or should you just stick with Facebook?  Navigating the world of social media and how to best utilize it in a contracting business is the last of this four-part course.  Designing, implementing and monitoring a successful and active social media program will be discussed along with the merits of each social media platform that is currently being used in business marketing.

    Heidi J. Ellsworth has worked in the roofing industry for over twenty years. Previously leading sales and marketing initiatives for EagleView Technologies, Malarkey Roofing and Carlisle Syntec, Ellsworth recently launched HJE Consulting Group and became a partner in RoofersCoffeeShop.com. Ellsworth offers sales and marketing advice through several channels including RoofersCoffeeShop.com and National Roofing Contractors Association along with writing for several roofing industry publications. She continues to share overall marketing strategies and implementation along with providing consulting to build strong collaboration between sales and marketing teams for business profitability and success. She consults for National Roofing Partners while also serving on the boards of the Western States Roofing Contractors Association and Florida Roofing and Sheet Metal Contractors Association and recently helped found the National Women in Roofing (NWIR) association where she serves as chairperson for the organization.
